We’ve entered the final countdown of our project, with just five months left to go! So, we gathered in Vienna for what was likely our last in-person consortium meeting. We were initially greeted by a rather rainy and grey Vienna, certainly not living up to Europe’s recent heatwave. However, thanks to the fantastic energy from the consortium (yes, we are claiming it), the city surprised us with bits of a warm, sunny second day, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful gardens and stunning views from Modul University, our fantastic hosting partner.
While we certainly enjoyed some downtime, our main purpose was to work, discuss, brainstorm, and present our latest progress. If you recall our meeting in Paris, we enthusiastically spoke of “a lot of progress—real, tangible developments that we can’t wait to share.” You can imagine then that five months later (and with only five months left to the finish line!), our progress is truly through the roof!
Our pilots are now almost fully operational, with evaluations and tests well underway. This goes hand-in-hand with crucial developments for each pilot, all based on valuable user experience and the results from our test interviews. On the technology side, we’re putting the final touches on exciting advancements. Meanwhile, our dissemination and communication teams are bustling, sharing all our exciting news with the public. This leaves us with a critical question: what comes next?
The answer to that question took up a significant portion of our discussions. What events should we target? What will we do after the project concludes? In the words of our coordinator, Niall Murray from TUS, “As we enter the final stages of TRANSMIXR, our focus is now outward towards the Cultural Creative Sectors (CCS) beyond the team to ensure we exploit the efforts and maximize the impact of our work. We look forward to meeting key stakeholders at events such as IBC, Stereopsia 2025, and many other key events.” And yes, we are going full speed ahead with webinars and in-person events, both as a full consortium and tailored by use case.
