Performing Arts Use Case on the Global Stage

Tupac Martir Performing Arts Use Case

Our partner Tupac Martir from Satore Studio has been busy showcasing the TRANSMIXR performing arts use case across the globe, blending immersive technology and creative innovation in exciting new ways. The TRANSMIXR project is pushing the boundaries of extended reality (XR) and performing arts, offering transformative experiences that explore new storytelling possibilities. Here’s where the concept has been introduced to diverse audiences, bringing it to life around the world.

  • The Lumen Prize, Kristiansand, Norway (November 7-9)

At the Lumen Prize event, Tupac Martir participated in a panel discussion on AI and authorship. The session, titled “Owning the Machine: IP & Authorship in the Age of AI”, explored the intersection of AI and intellectual property in the creative world. During the discussion, Tupac presented the TRANSMIXR work and mission, as well as his innovative work developed as part of the performing arts pilot, “Cadence of Altered Illusions (CAI)”—a mixed reality (MR) experience that blends movement, stylized visuals, audio, music, sound, and AI digital humans. Tupac joined fellow experts Kayvan Ghaffari (Pillsbury Law) and Daniel Nordgård (University of Agder).

  • Mediamorfosis, Quito, Ecuador (November 13-14)

At Mediamorfosis, Latin America’s leading new media festival, Tupac Martir joined other important voices shaping the digital and creative transformation. He delivered a talk alongside industry leaders and held a workshop titled “Unraveling Storytelling in Performance in XR”. The festival, renowned for connecting innovation, culture, and technology, provided a dynamic space for attendees to engage with immersive media and explore new creative possibilities.

  • Workshop in Dublin, Ireland ( October 28)

In Dublin, Tupac Martir hosted the same 150-minute immersive workshop as in Quito, engaging a new audience with this hands-on experience. Titled “Unraveling Storytelling in Performance in XR”, the workshop explored symbolic imagery, collective storytelling, and imaginative worldbuilding. Participants tapped into the symbolic power of Tarot cards, transforming images into characters, emotions, and story fragments. Through sketching, brainstorming, and playful group exercises, they built imaginative worlds and delved into how these ideas could be realized and expanded using XR and AI technologies. The session fostered spontaneous storytelling and collaboration, providing a unique platform for creative expression in XR performance.

  • BEYOND Conference, Manchester, UK (November 24-26)

At the BEYOND Conference, one of the UK’s leading events for research and innovation, Tupac Martir participated as a speaker in two sessions “ Networks and Creative Clusters: Catalysts for Innovation” and  “Creative Intelligence: Connecting Knowledge, Practice, and Opportunity”. This event brings together experts to explore how new ideas and technologies are shaping the future of the creative industries.

  • Crossover Event, Glasgow, UK (December 4)

Crossover, an inspiring mixer event hosted by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Creative Tech Scotland Gathering, will again be the perfect stage for Tupac Martir to present the amazing work done within the TRANSMIXR performing arts use case. The event will showcase how immersive technologies are transforming the intersection of performing arts, technology, and data-driven creativity. Bringing together performing arts practitioners, creative technologists, and interdisciplinary innovators, it will offer live demos, expert talks, and networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

As the TRANSMIXR project comes to a close, we are incredibly proud and inspired to see how the work created within the performing arts use case is reaching new audiences and continuing to thrive. Even after the project concludes, its impact will live on, transforming the way we think about and experience performing arts, and opening up new possibilities for the future.
