TRANSMIXR’s coordinator wins Adapt Scientific Impact Award

Dr. Niall Murray (Technological University of the Shannon (TUS)), the coordinator of the TRANSMIXR project was awarded the 2022 Adapt Centre International Collaborator Award for Scientific Impact for 2022. The award recognizes an individual whose work in ADAPT research projects has made significant scientific contributions and breakthroughs or otherwise had significant impact on the field or in the research community. 

Speaking about the award, Dr. Murray said: “I am very pleased to receive this award on behalf of my colleagues here in TUS, as well as on behalf of the TRANSMIXR team. The award is reflection of the applied research excellence we in TUS aim to achieve as part of our efforts in the Adapt Centre on the TRANSMIXR project.  Our ambition to as part of the TRANSMIXR team is to create disruptive and impactful AI and XR technologies for the Cultural and Creative sector (CCS), informed by and addressing the needs and requirements of CCS professionals.”

The TRANSMIXR project kicked off in Oct 2022and will run for 36 months. More information on the award is available here.
